Lighthouse
projects

A lighthouse project is a three-year scaling initiative to distribute lights within a specific region.

It’s a long-term investment into a community, focusing on large-scale distribution. We target communities based on their access to electricity, geography, and population.

How it Works

We partner with in-country organizations and invest in local leadership to create a sustainable environment for light distribution at scale. We want our light recipients to be successful where they are, with resources that are indigenous to their community.

Then, with the help of our local partners, we are able to select in-country Watts of Love representatives to lead our Distribution Day Event. These selected team members become our trainers and are the key to making Lighthouse distribution a success. The trainers learn our training curriculum to extend the Watts of Love approach all over the globe, taught by a trusted member of their community.
