Watts of Love believes it is possible to eliminate energy poverty! With the Watts of Love team, our Global Travelers, and on-site partners, we know lighting the world is possible.
After a light distribution in Malawi, Africa, the Watts of Love team heard the community shouting ZOTHEKA. When the team asked what that meant, the translator told them it meant “it is possible.” The community in Malawi finally had hope and believed it was possible for them to lift themselves out of the darkness of poverty.

Curiosity has been the foundation to what Watts of Love is. From the first three lights distributed, we have seen the value in listening and learning from other. It was because of the first light recipients that Watts of Love truly learned the importance of light.
We are always learning from the communities we serve. We know that we do not hold all the answers alone, but together, we can create a cross cultural solution to energy poverty.
