In rural Zacapa, many families struggle to get by. Help provide them with encouragement and equip them with the tools and training needed to lift themselves out of the darkness of poverty. During your visit, we will be able to hear the success that families we’ve met in previous years have had thanks to the Watts of Love Program.
While you will spend the day serving, in the afternoon and evenings you will enjoy comfortable air-conditioned accommodations. Refresh with a dip in the pool or with an iced smoothie at the coffee bar.

Planning a trip of this nature has a lot of moving parts. To best serve our light recipients, all dates and details are subject to change. Once you register for a trip, you will be given up to date information via a trip specific traveler website.

$1,250 program fee (All on-the-ground expenses including lodging, transportation, meals, etc.)
$3,000 fundraising minimum for solar lights

A $300.00 non refundable deposit is due when registering for a trip. If you need to cancel, prior to 31 days out from departure the $300.00 can be transferred to a trip in the same calendar year or will be considered a donation towards lights. If you cancel within 30 days of departure your deposit can not be used towards another trip as it will be covering non-refundable costs on our end.
